Job description

iO Associates are working exclusively with a global leader in digital transformation who's work contributes to many of the UK's Police Forces & Government bodies. We are seeking an experienced Java Developer to take the lead in a long-term, high-impact project focused on Biometric technology.

Start: ASAP
Location: Hybrid – twice a week onsite in Birmingham with occasional visits to clients in South London
Day Rate: £450 per day, Outside IR35
Clearance: Active NPPV3 + SC

Skills, Experience & Technology:
Java 17+, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST/SOAP Web Services, AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB), Docker, PostgreSQL/Aurora, ActiveMQ, Maven, Jenkins, and more!
Experience with Agile methods (Scrum, TDD, BDD) and CI tools (Jenkins, Git).

Key experience:
Experienced in working on large-scale Spring-based Java projects.
Proven ability to support live systems and tackle complex incidents.
Hands-on with integration projects, microservices, messaging, and distributed systems.
Experience working with AWS, Docker, and PostgreSQL/Aurora.
