About the role

We are seeking a Technical Store Designer to support the Global Store Design team. This role is crucial for daily operations, supporting with technical drawings, SketchUp models, and setting standards. The designer will assist the Head of Global Store Design in developing the department and advancing the brand.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Head of Global Store Design to develop and maintain technical standards for fixtures and fittings.
• Ensure brand consistency across all store design elements through plans, elevations, and details in Vectorworks and SketchUp.
• Work with external contractors to review and annotate drawings, ensuring brand standards are met.
• Understand architectural, mechanical, and structural components.
• Prepare design packs for approvals.
• Interpret local building codes and ensure compliance across projects.
• Identify challenging construction details and develop solutions with relevant teams.
• Review and approve shop drawings for design integrity and safety.
• Address construction issues that may affect design quality.

Team and reporting

Reporting to the Global Head of Store Design.

Candidate requirements

• Degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
• Proficiency in SketchUp (3D) and Vectorworks (2D).
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience working with marketing, creative, VM, digital, tech, sustainability, and regional teams.
• Strong attention to detail and construction knowledge.
• Knowledge of building and safety regulations.
• Team player with a willingness to learn.
• Focus on quality and process implementation.
