Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5 years of experience in Business Development or Head of Sales role
- Prior work experience in Africa is required
- Fluency in both French and English (written and spoken) is non-negotiable
- Experience in full-cycle B2B sales process, including onboarding, integration, and partnership management on live accounts
- Project Management experience advantageous
- Strong ability to close deals
- Ability to get up to speed quickly, see around corners, make tough decisions, and influence broadly across the organization
- Thorough understanding of the FinTech/Cryptocurrency space
- Detailed knowledge of B2B discipline, outgoing client management, and third-party distribution channel management
- Experience in sales and business development for the FinTech industry, including selling API solutions to affinity partners
- Ability to partner with the product team to promote adoption of API features
- Ensure compliance of solutions with company policies, security standards, and best practices
- Act as a technical liaison between B2B, service engineering, and business teams
- Adept at building solutions that drive growth
- Combine industry knowledge, strategic thinking, and customer focus to improve performance
- Comfortable working in a culture of transparency and no politics
Responsibilities
- Acquire new business and partners through prospecting, qualifying, and contract negotiation
- Identify target clients and segments for our platform
- Generate and manage new partnerships from start to execution, including contract negotiations
- Conduct quarterly reviews with senior leadership and promote partnerships
- Onboard partners with sales and product training
- Manage partners with accurate pipeline reporting
- Visit partners, customers, and prospects; attend local events and exhibitions
- Achieve or surpass revenue targets
- Negotiate business terms and contracts with strategic partners, coordinating with legal and other stakeholders
- Drive new business revenues from financial institutions and affinity markets
- Identify and develop product offerings to meet client needs
- Regularly review partnerships with senior leadership to ensure resource allocation for success
