Job description

Housing Options and Homeless Prevention Officer – Hillingdon

iPeople SC Solutions is currently recruiting experienced Housing Options and Homeless Prevention Officers to work for our client based in Hillingdon and surrounding areas.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Completing assessments and carrying out respective prevention and relief work.
  • Managing a varied caseload with knowledge of Part VII Housing Act 1996, Homelessness Reduction Act, and other relevant legislation.
  • Carrying out homelessness inquiries, casework, and drafting s184 decision letters.
  • Demonstrating practical experience of delivering in a pressurized Housing Options Service and managing multiple demands and pressures of the service.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of the Homelessness Reduction Act.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within local authority.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday – 9.00am to 5.00pm – Hybrid working welcomed once office-based induction period is completed.

Only candidates with previous experience within local authorities and knowledge of the Homelessness Reduction Act will be considered.
