Production Support I

Location: Salisbury, MD, US, 21801

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Our brand names are recognized globally including: BSC Filters, York, UK; Dow-Key Microwave, Ventura, CA; Pole/Zero, West Chester, OH; Espy, Austin, TX; and K&L Microwave, Salisbury, Maryland and Dominican Republic.
Our expertise is the design and manufacture of communications-based specialty products – engineered components and subsystems – for demanding military, space, commercial aerospace/industrial, and telecom infrastructure applications where function and reliability are crucial.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Reads work orders and matches them with the correct drawings, etc. Works under limited direction and manufactures sub-assemblies. Troubleshoots and helps resolve problems. Provides leadership in the absence of the supervisor. Provides inspection of their work and the work of others. Meets all ISO and area specific production goals. Works safely, using appropriate safety equipment and follows procedures. Completes associated job specific paperwork, logs, time sheets, etc. Equipment used includes, but is not limited to chemicals, computer, small shop equipment, hand tools and calipers, personal protective equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY:

High School Diploma or GED. Math and measurement skills are required. Ability to interpret bar graphs, read drawings, blueprints and schematics is preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Work requires some physical exertion such as recurring bending, reaching or similar activities.
  • Recurring lifting of moderately heavy items up to 50 lbs.
  • Repetitive use of hands and fingers in the assembly preparation process.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions typical of such a manufacturing environment.
  • Personal protective equipment provided and to be used in designated areas.
  • Work area is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated.

Salary Range: $16.00 - $17.00
