Our client works within the temperature-controlled food sector and is growing within the Scottish market and has an opportunity for a Transport Manager.

Your new role

As the Transport Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the transportation operations within the organisation. This role involves managing the fleet, ensuring compliance with transportation regulations, optimising routes, and improving overall efficiency. The Transport Manager will work closely with other departments to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
  1. Fleet Management: Oversee the maintenance, repair, and replacement of the vehicle fleet.
  2. Route Planning: Develop and optimise transportation routes to ensure timely deliveries and cost efficiency.
  3. Compliance: Ensure all transportation activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  4. Budget Management: Prepare and manage the transportation budget, including cost control and financial reporting.
  5. Team Leadership: Supervise and train transportation staff, including drivers and logistics coordinators.

What you'll need to succeed

Candidates will be required to have a National or International CPC and experience of working within food distribution. We are looking for an invested individual who is highly motivated and who understands drivers, legal compliance, and managing a small team.
