Job Summary

Do you have excellent communication and organisational skills? Are you a team worker with the ability to use your own initiative? If the answer is yes, then we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated EO J4 Hub and Health & Safety Manager to join our encouraging and welcoming team of dedicated military and civilian healthcare professionals and administrative staff working within QEH Birmingham.

The vacant post is a full-time position working 37 hours per week. Part-time candidates will be considered but due to service delivery requirements it must be on a job share basis as full-time hours need to be covered.

Job Description

This post will provide Headquarters Joint Hospital Group (HQ JHG)/Royal Centre for Defence Medicine (RCDM) with the necessary focal point for JHG and RCDM co-ordination, supervision and management for the logistics and Health & Safety within the unit to be based at RCDM but with responsibilities across the whole of Joint Hospital Group network.

Person specification

Main details of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Manage and maintain elements of the Joint Hospital Group (JHG) J4 Logistical Hub including the supervision of all Contract Purchasing & Finance (CP&F) accounts both at the Royal Centre for Defence Medicine (RCDM) and the wider JHG Group.
  • Ensuring that the J4 Logistics database is maintained and kept up to date as required and as necessary ensuring that individual unit J4 Logistic representatives are trained and instructed regarding the use of the database.
  • Line Manager responsibilities for other Civil Servants within the QM Department of RCDM.

Qualifications

5 GCSEs at Grade C or above, or equivalent, or NVQ Business Administration Level 2, or suitable Civil Service experience.

Selection process details
