Overview

Join Rolls-Royce in Glasgow as an FPGA Engineer within our submarines division, contributing to the design, manufacture, and support of nuclear propulsion systems for the Royal Navy. This role offers opportunities to work across all phases of product lifecycle, focusing on digital, software, hardware, and electronics technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop requirements, architectures, and HDL code for control firmware applications.
  • Use agile SCRUM methodologies to develop high integrity firmware.
  • Develop bespoke software tools supporting firmware development.
  • Engage in problem-solving, process adherence, and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with software, systems, and electronics teams, and manage suppliers.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or HND in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience in digital electronics, programmable logic devices, and real-time systems.
  • Knowledge of safety-critical development constraints (e.g., IEC62566).
  • Strong communication, planning, and decision-making skills.

Additional Information:
