Job Description

The Head of Compensation & Benefits is a key role in the global reward team. You will be responsible for operating abcam’s compensation, benefits, and payroll policies to the highest standards. From design to communication and delivery, we aim to deliver value for abcam and our people.

Reporting to the VP of Global Reward, the key responsibilities of the role include:

Compensation and Benefits Governance

  • Support delivery of Danaher’s Global Compensation & Reward Framework (GCRF) processes on Workday related to abcam’s employees.
  • Contribute to Danaher’s processes on share incentive programs, managing queries and relationships with providers.
  • Develop and maintain SOX-compliant processes for compensation and benefits administration outside the US.
  • Provide expertise on Benefits, Global Mobility, Health & Wellbeing, and Recognition across all countries, ensuring governance and compliance.
  • Conduct annual Benefit Reviews to support total reward proposals aligned with budgeting, and provide ongoing benefits support.
  • Manage communications calendar on compensation and benefits topics.
  • Manage relationships with external benefits vendors globally.
  • Support US benefits, payroll, wellbeing, and recognition delivery on Danaher platforms during transition.

Payroll Governance

  • Develop and maintain SOX-compliant payroll review and approval processes, supervising Payroll Entry within HR Shared Services.

Qualifications

Experience working in a global environment (UK, US, China). Skilled in planning and executing global compensation and benefits projects, with excellent project management and stakeholder mobilization skills.

Confident communicator on reward topics, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels. Ability to recognize and act upon change to achieve goals.

Experience supervising payroll delivery to SOX standards. Numerate and analytical, with a talent for storytelling through data analysis.

Experience with global compensation consultants and HR information systems like Oracle.
