This role involves supporting the procurement function in alignment with the Category Manager and Lead Procurement Officer. You will work with clients and suppliers to deliver a customer-focused procurement service, providing expertise and guidance on procurement issues in support of the Corporate Commercial/Procurement Strategy.
You will lead the procurement of contracts within a sub-category, valued between £5-15m per annum, ensuring compliance and facilitating efficiency improvements.
You will actively promote the Council’s vision, values, and objectives, prioritizing our citizens through delivering value-for-money services.
The job holder reports to a Category Manager and will support in enhancing procurement standards and practices.
