A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Thurrock is seeking a dedicated HLTA to join their team on a long-term contract, starting ASAP. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teaching assistant looking to take the next step in their career, with the potential to progress into teacher training after one year of employment.

Role Overview:

As an HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting both teachers and students, leading lessons when required, and working closely with pupils to enhance their learning experience. This is a full-time, long-term position, offering valuable experience in a supportive school environment.

Job Details:

* Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
* Location: Thurrock, Essex
* Contract: Full-time, long-term
* Start Date: ASAP
* Salary: £90 - £110 per day

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leading small group interventions and supporting whole-class teaching
2. Covering lessons across KS1 and KS2 in the absence of the teacher
3. Providing tailored support to students, helping them to achieve their full potential
4. Assisting with lesson planning, marking, and classroom management
5. Supporting SEND and EAL students where necessary
6. Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff to maintain a positive learning environment

Requirements:

1. HLTA qualification, Level 4 Qualification (or strong experience as a teaching assistant with leadership responsibilities)
2. Experience working in a primary school setting
3. Ability to lead lessons confidently across different year groups
4. A proactive and enthusiastic approach to education
5. Strong communication and organisational skills
