Job description

Job Responsibilities
  1. Assist the Head Coach with practice and game-day preparation and execution.
  2. Maintain and ensure student-athlete academic integrity.
  3. Provide service to the Institution as assigned by the Director of Athletics & Recreation or the Head Coach.
  4. Adhere to NCAA, conference, departmental, and university policies, procedures, and expectations.
  5. Assist with the identification, recruitment, and selection of quality student-athletes and maintain contact with prospective student-athletes.
  6. Serve as liaison between sport supervisor including facilities, marketing and promotions, game operations, ticket and media relations.
  7. Assist with the development of marketing strategies for recruiting prospective student-athletes and community engagement.
  8. Assist with alumni and community relations and outreach.
  9. Manage all logistics of team travel, coordinate with vendors regarding team travel, meal arrangements, and practice sites.
  10. Organize and maintain accurate inventory of volleyball equipment and uniforms.
  11. Oversee marketing, outreach, and administrative duties for camp activities.
  12. Demonstrate knowledge, understanding, and commitment to University, NCAA, and WAC compliance rules and regulations.
  13. Assist with the organization and planning of practice and competitive strategies.
  14. Perform other duties as needed.
Discipline Specific Required Qualifications
  • Must be admitted to a graduate degree program.
  • Must be in good academic standing.
  • Be registered full-time for the respective semester—nine (9) semester credit hours during the fall semester, nine (9) semester credit hours during the spring semester, or three (3) semester credit hours during the summer session, or be registered in the required number of semester credit hours to fulfill the remaining requirements of the degree plan.
