As a PLC Programmer, you will be responsible for designing, programming, and commissioning advanced control systems for a variety of industries, including manufacturing, pharmaceutical, food processing, and chemical processing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement PLC programs for Siemens, Omron and Mitsubishi platforms.
  • Create electrical circuit designs, system drawings, and panel layouts using Eplan.
  • Configure and integrate HMI systems, including Proface.
  • Work with robotic systems, servo-controlled drive systems, and industrial communication protocols such as Profibus, Profinet, and DeviceNet.
  • Conduct on-site commissioning, troubleshooting, and system installations.
  • Support the sales, service, and mechanical teams during initial project design.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, including CE markings, PUWER, and risk assessments.

What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience in PLC programming with Siemens, Omron or Mitsubishi.
  • Ability to design and develop electrical schematics and system layouts using Eplan.
  • Knowledge of HMI design and integration, preferably with Proface.
  • Experience working with robotic automation systems.
  • Understanding of servo-controlled drive systems and industrial communication networks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or within a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
  • A full UK driving licence is required, as the role will involve some travel to client sites.
