Responsibilities:

• Possess a strong technical background, preferably with a degree in mechanical, electronic, electrical, control systems, or automotive engineering. Other qualifications and experience will also be considered.
• Have significant, demonstrable experience with Mathworks tools (Matlab, Simulink, and Stateflow) for model-based software design, particularly in diesel engine or hybrid power systems development environments.
• Translate and develop customer requirements into production-ready software models.
• Knowledge of software FMEA and validation plan creation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good understanding of the off-highway industry, ideally through direct involvement in powertrain, hydraulics, or control systems development.
• Experience with Caterpillar control software processes and tools.
• Experience with HiL test equipment and programming automated tests.
• Knowledge of software version control systems, such as Git or Clearcase.
• Prior experience developing software to meet functional safety requirements.
