Agency statement: We are currently resourcing this role through our internal Talent Acquisition Team, so we do not require agency support at this time. We will utilise our supplier partners on our PSL only when needed.

Working pattern: Full time days, on site

The Recruitment process:

Interviews will begin in July, including a face-to-face interview at our site in Burton Latimer.

The role:

We have an exciting opportunity for an Energy Coordinator to oversee our Energy Centre and support our facilities legal compliance operations. This role involves supporting, implementing, and maintaining safety practices according to Weetabix standards, ensuring safety, food safety, quality, and environmental compliance.

The successful candidate will:

  • Utilise energy/system data for recommendations and decisions, demonstrating excellent organisational, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Burton Latimer Energy Centre and CHP, supporting the Corby Boiler House alongside Engineering Teams.
  • Ensure routine testing of the Energy Centre and CHP to meet legal and standard compliance.
  • Support asset compliance activities outside of CHP, including PSSR, PUWER, and LOLER.
  • Assist with Sustainability & Environmental initiatives such as Carbon Management and Trade Effluent Compliance.
  • Perform level 1/2/3 safety audits for the Energy Centre.
  • Liaise with contractors for routine and ad hoc work on the Energy Centre and other services.
  • Manage repairs and maintenance using Weetabix's CMMS system (Mainsaver).
  • Provide occasional call-out and weekend support.
  • Drive energy-saving initiatives with the Energy Systems Manager.
  • Manage Energy Metering Devices and report data for audits.

Requirements:

Qualifications are valued but experience is crucial. For roles governed by legislation, specific qualifications will be required and verified.

  • Engineering Qualification – HNC, HND, NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical/Electrical/Energy.
  • Experience operating boilers and CHP systems.
  • Knowledge of asset compliance across functions.
