Job summary

Wokingham Borough Council is seeking a motivated and experienced Principal Planning Officer to join their Planning team. We have an exciting opportunity available for a motivated and experienced Principal Planning Officer, to join us as a key member of the Planning team at Wokingham Borough Council on a full-time, permanent basis.

Development Strategy

The Core Strategy and Supplementary Planning Documents identified four Strategic Development Locations to accommodate the majority of the 13,000 planned homes up to 2026. The borough continues to develop, with a new local plan (the Local Plan Update) for submission, outlining a strategy until 2040, including a new Garden Village.

Key Responsibilities
