Social Housing Maintenance Carpenter - North East London


Skilled Careers is currently recruiting for an experienced Carpenter to join a leading team in the social housing sector, covering North East London. If you're a skilled tradesperson looking for a stable role with opportunities for growth, this could be the perfect fit for you!


Role Overview:

As a Social Housing Maintenance Carpenter, your daily responsibilities will include:

  1. Carrying out carpentry repairs and maintenance work within social housing properties
  2. Responding to emergency and scheduled maintenance requests from tenants and property managers
  3. Ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety
  4. Conducting property inspections to identify areas requiring maintenance or repairs
  5. Collaborating with other tradespeople and contractors to ensure efficient and effective service delivery

Skills & Experience:
  1. Proven experience as a Carpenter, ideally within the social housing or maintenance sector
  2. A good understanding of general maintenance work, including basic plumbing and plastering (desirable)
  3. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
  4. Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
  5. Full UK Driving Licence
  6. Trade qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) is preferred

Job Details:
  1. Salary: £42k per year - CIS payment
  2. Location: North East London
  3. Contract: Temp to perm opportunity
