Job description

We are looking for a dynamic thinker to support our Control Team in Stevenage. The role involves overseeing and planning patient journeys to and from home or healthcare settings using our cleric system, ensuring adherence to key performance indicators, and pre-planning patient journeys effectively with available resources.

About the Patients

Our patients have diverse clinical and mobility needs. Some travel regularly with us to renal and oncology units. Our patients and staff are our priority, and we are committed to showing care, compassion, and empathy.

Responsibilities
  1. Control of PTS ambulance resources, including volunteer drivers, monitoring, and real-time adjustments to optimize service delivery
  2. Forward planning of patient transport to maximize resource use
  3. Monitoring journey times and proactively rearranging journeys to support service and patient experience
Training and Working Hours

The successful candidate will need to complete a 3-week training course at various locations such as Epping and Chelmsford, requiring independent travel. The role involves relief shifts between 06:00 and 22:00, seven days a week, with a 9-week rota in advance.
