We are now seeking individuals who will thrive in this type of atmosphere and, in line with the expanding Treaty portfolio, we are now looking to recruit a Reinsurance Client Service Technician to join our expanding team.

Role Responsibilities:

This is a multi-disciplined technical processing role within Lockton Re, incorporating Broker Support, processing of Proportional and Non-Proportional accounts, Excess of Loss and Claims Processing.

  • Handle multi-disciplined technical processing, including Premium, Pro rata, and Excess loss claims.
  • Experience covering all classes of business.
  • Communicate with clients and carriers on a technical level.
  • Work independently, managing priorities and supporting team colleagues to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain excellent technical knowledge of the Lloyd’s and/or Company Reinsurance market.
  • Build relationships with team members, internal and external clients.
  • Identify client’s individual requirements and work alongside them to achieve the best possible outcomes.
  • Participate in client and reinsurer meetings as required.

Broker Support

  • Debroke
  • Prepare and maintain account statistics.
  • Support overall servicing of the client’s account and retention of business.
  • Use electronic methods throughout the full process.

Excess of Loss Claims

  • Negotiate claims from initial notice through to settlement and closure.
  • Experience handling complex claims across all classes of business, including XOL reinsurance and binders, reinsurer audits, and direct including underwriter rep.
  • Negotiate claims matters such as XPL, ex-gratia, and non-standard presentations.
  • Understand Letters of Credit and complete adjustments proactively within required timeframes to avoid client penalties.

Ideal candidates will have relevant experience, including:

  • Processing all risk types, including proportional, excess of loss premiums, and claims.
  • Experience with Salesforce and Open TWINS is advantageous.
  • Reinsurance Claims experience is essential.
  • Experience dealing with large corporate clients is a plus.
  • Ability to build and maintain good relationships with clients, insurers, and colleagues.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Time management and prioritization skills to meet deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues and devise solutions.
  • Adherence to Lockton standards and procedures.
  • Understanding of management concepts, systems, and quality assurance.
  • In-depth knowledge of IMR, CLASS, ECF, LORS.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products or similar software.
