Finatal are currently partnered with a confidential, PE-backed financial services business backed by a leading large-cap Private Equity Fund. As they continue to scale, they’re now looking to hire a Finance & Data Analyst to work closely with the CFO and FP&A team. This is a high-impact role that blends financial insight with technical capability to drive better reporting, automation, and commercial decision-making.

Role

• In this newly created role, you will act as a bridge between Finance and Data, supporting the CFO and FP&A with advanced data analysis, presenting insights and driving a data-led decision-making.
• You will optimise finance reporting, automate and enhance the financial reporting processes, and enable real-time insights for senior leadership.
• Build and maintain commercial dashboards using Power BI for executive-level consumption utilising your Python/R manipulation skills.
• You will work with large volumes of finance data to surface trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Support the implementation of a data lake environment and modern tech stack of DBT and Microsoft Fabric.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with finance teams and large finance datasets.
• Exceptional stakeholder management experience, often working with executive-level stakeholders, including CFO and board.
• Hands-on technical experience building Power BI dashboards, utilising SQL and Python/R for commercial and executive use.
• Exposure to modern data tools and platforms (e.g., DBT and MS Fabric) is advantageous.
