Sleep-in shifts: Paid at a rate of £70.47 (9-hour sleep payment) per night

Hours: Permanent, 37.5 hours per week

We are seeking caring, flexible, and creative individuals who thrive under pressure, can connect with people at all levels, and enjoy helping others live independently. Join Waythrough at Windsor Road as a Recovery Worker.

Windsor Road offers 11 beds for individuals experiencing mental ill health. It is a CQC registered residential care home providing one-to-one interventions and sessions on topics like social anxiety, finance, self-esteem, diet, sleep hygiene, DBT skills, resilience, and stress management. We organize activities including coffee mornings, gardening, cooking, arts and crafts, and social inclusion events.

Our staff support residents with daily living skills, personal care, and work closely with other agencies and care teams, requiring good communication and record-keeping skills. The team comprises 8 24/7 Recovery Workers, a Service Manager, and a Registered Manager.

We believe recovery is unique to each individual. As a Recovery Worker, you will help residents develop support plans to achieve their goals, such as managing domestic tasks, accessing employment or education, and building independence.

Preferred qualifications include experience in care home, mental health, or social care settings, medication administration, and relevant certifications. An understanding of mental health issues or lived experience is welcomed. Compassion, empathy, and enthusiasm are essential. You should be comfortable working independently and in a team, with availability for rota, on-call duties, and sleep-in shifts.

The role requires working at least one sleep-in shift per week.
