Accounts Assistant
Caerphilly (Fully Office Based)

Hourly Rate - £12.82 per hour
Temporary Role

Hours of work - Either Monday - Thursday 8am - 4:30pm and Friday 8am - 1:30pm OR 8am - 4pm Monday - Friday!

Our client, a values-led manufacturing organisation based in Caerphilly, is looking for a diligent and organised Accounts Assistant to support their busy Finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established team and make an immediate impact in a fast-paced environment.

The successful applicant will have...

  • Experience working within a finance/accounts role, ideally in a manufacturing setting
  • Experience with Sage 200 (preferred)
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload
  • Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
  • Confidence working independently and as part of a team
  • A proactive and self-managing attitude
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
So what does the Accounts Assistant role involve?
  • Accurately update and maintain daily financial records
  • File delivery notes and purchase orders received from goods inwards
  • Sort and file invoices into POP, Purchase, and Freight categories
  • Match delivery notes to purchase orders and invoices
  • Post freight and purchase invoices onto the ledger
  • Liaise with other departments to resolve any invoice or order queries
  • Monitor and manage the "accounts payable" email inbox
  • Identify and request missing invoices or delivery notes promptly
  • Complete the payment run twice monthly and send remittances accordingly
  • Reconcile supplier statements on a monthly basis
  • Assist with processing new suppliers via DocuSign
  • File completed invoices and support with various administrative finance tasks
