The Role
Reporting to the Director of Finance and Corporate Services, this role ensures compliance with legislation and regulations, maintaining public trust and best practices. Responsibilities include monitoring legislative compliance and supporting governance structures.
The Person Will
- Facilitate the operation of governance structures, including Board and Committee meetings.
- Ensure compliance with Articles of Association and manage governance documentation.
- Maintain registers related to governance and respond to information requests.
- Support Trustee induction and review governance policies.
- Develop mechanisms for legislative and regulatory compliance.
- Advise staff on compliance matters and lead whistleblowing arrangements.
- Manage key registers and declarations.
- Support the Governance, Compliance and Risk Officer and contribute to strategic projects.
- Support other duties related to governance, compliance, and risk.
The Successful Candidate Will Have
- Qualification or experience in corporate governance.
- Experience supporting Boards and committees.
- Knowledge of governance practices and data protection legislation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- High integrity, tact, diplomacy, and discretion.
