Trade Finance is a key part of Santander Corporate Banking's growth strategy.

As a Trade Finance Officer, you'll be a vital member of the Middle Office team, processing trade transactions directly and collaborating with the Global Back Office to provide excellent service to our clients using Santander for their Trade Finance needs.

You will also handle non-standard and specialist product new business within tight deadlines, administer portfolios throughout their lifecycle, and utilize industry knowledge and systems to serve SCCB customers professionally.

The difference you'll make.

• Managing customer communications via email, telephone, post, and Trade Services online
• Handling complex transactions
• Performing standard and complex checks (up to 100 per transaction), resolving discrepancies with clients
• Supporting front-line business and customers on product capabilities within ICC rules and credit conditions

What you'll bring.

• Operational experience handling Trade Finance products such as Letters of Credit, Collections, Guarantees, Loans, and facility documentation
• Experience applying Financial Crime controls to trade transactions

It would also be nice if you have.

• Professional qualifications (e.g., CITF, CDCS, CSDG)
• Experience with trade finance processing systems (e.g., BankTrade)
• Proven banking/financial services experience
• Knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel

Additional information.

We support flexible work arrangements to help our people thrive both at work and home. Our preferred location is Manchester, with an expectation of at least 5 days in the office monthly. Alternatively, if you're near London, we expect 2 days per week in-office. We welcome applications for part-time or job-share roles.
