Allianz has an exciting opportunity for a Motor Claims Crime Prevention Consultant to join the team based in Leeds, Ipswich, or Bournemouth.

Role Description

This role involves preventing, investigating, and detecting insurance claims fraud by managing case portfolios, supporting business referrals, and collaborating with external agencies such as the Insurance Fraud Bureau and law enforcement.

You will decide on the retention of referrals, provide feedback, and handle genuine claims efficiently. The role is hybrid.

Salary Information

Approximately £29,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, and location. Salary is part of the total reward package.

About You

• Conduct intelligence searches to assist decision-making on claims.
• Engage with other departments and provide technical support.
• Perform investigative searches to determine claim authenticity.
• Understand different fraud scenarios and appropriate investigations.
• Manage development portfolios and use investigative techniques.
• Record and highlight potential fraud concerns accurately.
• Update case management systems and fraud software.
• Identify linked or organized fraud cases and refer them accordingly.
• Highlight fraud trends or companies to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
• Liaise with law enforcement and industry bodies.
• Negotiate settlements with policyholders and third parties.
• Manage litigation and case progression.
• Handle complaints and maintain customer contact.
• Engage in self-development and team discussions.
• Understand Motor Claims Liability and insurance principles.
• Possess negotiation skills and knowledge of insurance law related to fraud.
• Communicate effectively and demonstrate proactive customer service.
• Adhere to data protection laws and understand claims processes.
