Job description

The post holder will join the Croydon CAMHS Treatment Team, a multidisciplinary team providing assessment, treatment, care coordination, and planning for children and/or young people with moderate to severe mental health and neuropsychiatric difficulties, under supervision of the team leader and relevant clinical supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide services to children and young people and their families in Croydon CAMHS, including assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, and monitoring of outcomes.
  2. Coordinate and manage treatment for each referred young person, including developing, reviewing, and adapting interventions.
  3. Communicate assessment and treatment information to young people, their families, and other professionals.
  4. Undertake proactive risk management and safety planning with the multidisciplinary team.
  5. Participate in the duty system for the service.
  6. Provide specialist assessments, formulations, and interventions, including mental health assessments.
  7. Deliver culturally appropriate psychological interventions with carers or families as needed.
  8. Assess and monitor risk, developing appropriate risk management plans.
  9. Act as a care coordinator, initiating and reviewing care plans, CPA coordination, and meetings.
