AECOM’s Port and Marine team seeks an Associate Director with civil and structural expertise to lead multiple projects. The candidate should be a team player, self-motivated, and capable of managing inputs and meeting client requirements within budget and quality standards. Working with a team with over 100 years of shared experience, the successful candidate will oversee technical delivery across various projects for clients including local authorities, private companies, defense contractors, and internal UK and overseas clients.

The role can be based anywhere in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, prepare, and complete project deliverables successfully.
  • Review technical specifications, reports, and notes to high standards.
  • Mentor staff to develop technical solutions and knowledge.
  • Coordinate with disciplines and clients to clarify scope and assist in tender preparations.
  • Design marine structures such as quay walls, piers, jetties, revetments, breakwaters, fendering, scour protection, linkspan supports, and dolphins.
  • Manage relationships with public and private clients and lead project teams.
  • Ensure compliance with British Standards, Eurocodes, and best practices in maritime engineering.
  • Understand CDM regulations, safety in design, and CEMD.
  • Deliver projects of varying complexity and cost.
  • Work within multidisciplinary teams with experience in UK maritime industry.

Qualifications:

  • CEng / IEng in civil or structural engineering or imminent attainment of this status.
  • Ability to obtain SC Clearance.
