The Role

The Analyst will work as part of the Investment Team, reporting to Katerina Williams. Key responsibilities include underwriting real estate investment opportunities, market and deal research, and supporting senior investment team members on transactions, business plan analysis, and strategy.

  1. Financial analysis of a wide range of real estate investments, including modeling of cash flows, financing, tax assumptions, IRRs, and sensitivities, as well as research to support underwriting assumptions.
  2. Analysis and interpretation of real estate, economic, and public company data, including financial statements, to conduct valuation and operational benchmarking.
  3. Preparation of documents for internal and external purposes, including investment committee memos.
  4. Ability to work well within a small, flat team, coordinating directly with senior team members and external advisors, providing broad exposure to early-stage deals.
  5. Collaborate closely with internal teams such as asset management, development, ESG, and corporate functions, including global offices, especially the Toronto headquarters.
The Person
  1. Fluency in English; fluency in French, Spanish, or German is an advantage.
  2. Approximately 1-2 years of experience in internships or graduate-level positions with proven analytical skills in investments, preferably in investment banking or real estate funds.
  3. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  4. Experience in building financial models, preparing presentations, and conducting research.
  5. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively and develop industry contacts.
  6. Experience within an investment bank or real estate investment fund is preferred.
  7. A team player, self-starter, diligent, able to take initiative, and adaptable to a dynamic environment with a professional and positive attitude.
