Stress analysis
Education Requirements:
Degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline (mechanical, aerospace/aeronautical, manufacturing, preferred).
Capability Requirements:
The applicant must have 10+ years experience within gas turbine design and analysis, be familiar with 2D and 3D stress analysis, particularly for gas turbine rotating parts and structural components, using the latest modelling techniques such as friction at interfaces, elastic/plastic, etc. Experience with ANSYS Mechanical APDL or Workbench, meshing applications like Hypermesh or UG NX, and computer-aided modelling programs such as UG NX is required. Prior experience with component life analysis (fatigue, damage tolerance, fracture mechanics) is preferred.
As a proactive self-starter, you will offer coaching and guidance to the team and adapt to emerging customer demands.
Engineer must be capable of performing the following stress analysis tasks:
Computer Requirements:
PC-based Windows applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), ANSYS Classic, Hypermesh, UG NX, PLM Teamcenter, Salesforce, and other specified applications for mechanical design activities. Training on proprietary software will be provided.
