A prestigious law firm specializing in labor and employment law is seeking an experienced Employment Attorney to join as Special Counsel. This mostly remote position offers a unique opportunity to engage in a diverse range of employment litigation while collaborating with a team of professionals committed to providing high-quality legal services. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in employment law with at least seven years of experience, and be adept at managing both cases and teams in a virtual office setting.
Duties:
Handle employment law matters, including administrative charges, attorney demand letters, and litigation for clients with Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI).
Supervise and mentor junior attorneys, ensuring high standards of case strategy, work product, and overall legal execution.
Conduct depositions, and represent clients at hearings, conferences, and trials.
Manage single-plaintiff litigation, with potential exposure to class actions and PAGA cases.
Collaborate with senior partners and a team of paralegals to support clients’ needs.
Provide consistent, high-quality legal advice and representation, while maintaining autonomy and remote work flexibility.
Requirements:
Over 7 years of experience in employment law and litigation.
Strong experience in handling administrative charges, demand letters, and employment-related disputes.
Ability to work independently and manage cases with minimal supervision in a remote environment.
Active membership in good standing with a state bar.
Ability to develop case strategies, draft legal documents, and manage legal teams effectively.
Education:
JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
Certifications:
Admission to the Bar in at least one state (additional states a plus, especially California).
Skills:
Expertise in employment law matters, particularly litigation and administrative processes.
Strong communication skills and the ability to advocate effectively in a virtual environment.
Proficiency with remote collaboration tools and the ability to work in a distributed setting.

Job Location:
