Commercial Manager - Military Training Equipment
Location: Hybrid (Portsmouth - 2 days per week)
Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 + Package
Security Clearance: SC Cleared or eligible

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Manager - Training Equipment to join a high-profile transformation programme modernising Royal Navy training. This £1bn+ programme is shaping the future of naval training delivery, integrating cutting-edge technology and innovative training solutions.

This role will play a key part in managing training equipment contracts, overseeing Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, and supporting strategic change initiatives. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders, suppliers, and the Royal Navy to drive commercial value and operational success.

Commercial Manager, Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage commercial obligations across prime and subcontractor agreements.
  • Lead the procurement, onboarding, and performance management of Tier 1 & Tier 2 suppliers.
  • Support change management initiatives, including high-impact training projects.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts to ensure maximum commercial and operational value.
  • Act as a trusted commercial advisor to internal and external stakeholders.

Commercial Manager, Desired Background:

  • Strong commercial and procurement experience in equipment management.
  • Experience managing contracts and suppliers in a complex, regulated environment.
  • Ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders, suppliers, and government bodies.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • SC Clearance or eligibility to obtain it.
