Job Description

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Undertake teaching, learning, and assessment activities, including module leadership within dermatology and/or skin lesion management short courses and programmes.
  • Design engaging teaching activities that support student learning.
  • Set and mark formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback and evaluation.
  • Act as a project supervisor appropriate to your qualifications.
  • Provide academic and pastoral support to students as a personal tutor.
  • Identify areas in current provision needing revision or improvement and develop new teaching materials to keep the curriculum current, especially regarding clinical issues.
  • Contribute to planning, designing, and developing aims, objectives, and learning outcomes for relevant programmes.
  • Maintain scholarly and/or research activity, encouraged and supported by the role.
Skills and Experience Required
  • Substantial post-qualifying clinical experience in dermatology and/or skin cancer, with evidence of current clinical practice.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary settings such as community, hospital, or primary care.
  • Experience in public speaking, teaching, or running courses.
  • Deep knowledge of dermatology, skin lesions, and skin cancer, with understanding of UK national guidance.
  • Ability to disseminate complex ideas effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in English, with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and IT skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing conflicting demands and priorities.

Qualifications Required
