Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join the rehabilitation team at WWL. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic setting focused on delivering high-quality care and rehabilitation services to frail and elderly patients.

Role and Responsibilities
  1. Deliver high-standard assessments and rehabilitation interventions in an intermediate care setting
  2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to maximize patient independence and safety
  3. Work collaboratively with nurses, social workers, and allied health professionals
  4. Manage a diverse caseload across community and inpatient services
  5. Educate and support patients and families in understanding treatment plans and goals
  6. Contribute to the development and review of clinical protocols and best practices
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy
  • HCPC Registration
  • Experience in intermediate care or rehabilitation settings
  • Ability to manage care for frail and elderly patients
  • Strong community experience and proactive patient care approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Skills
  • Strong clinical skills in assessment and treatment
  • Ability to detect deteriorating patients
  • Competence in risk assessment and discharge planning
  • Ability to assess motor, sensory, cognitive, and affective functioning
  • Clinical reasoning and holistic assessment capabilities
  • Evidence of ongoing CPD
