Key Responsibilities

1. Act as the people manager for an IT architecture team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.
2. Foster a collaborative, high-performing team aligned with organizational goals.
3. Prioritize workloads with stakeholders and manage team resources effectively.
4. Lead training and development initiatives to enhance technical skills.
5. Drive the development and maturity of the IT Architecture function.
6. Provide technical leadership and governance for IT projects, ensuring compliance with standards and policies.
7. Understand business drivers and capabilities to inform enterprise system design and change management.
8. Monitor current solutions to identify deficiencies and areas for improvement.
9. Define principles, standards, and patterns to align technology decisions with future architecture visions.
10. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into architectural designs.
11. Evaluate and select software products and services, designing configurations accordingly.
12. Engage with leadership to articulate opportunities, risks, and costs associated with platform decisions.
13. Implement cost-effective technology solutions to address complex business problems.
14. Ensure IT Architecture is recognized as a valuable asset within BDO.

Candidate Profile

1. Proven experience in IT architecture, solution design, and system implementation of migration or greenfield projects.
2. Experience managing teams, including performance reviews and workload prioritization.
3. Leadership in cross-functional environments, collaborating with technical and business stakeholders.
4. Experience with large-scale enterprise solutions focusing on scalability, reliability, and security.
5. Preferably familiar with Microsoft technologies within enterprise environments.
6. Strong vendor/partner management skills, including leading architecture discussions.
7. Exceptional interpersonal skills, facilitation, and negotiation abilities.
8. Understanding of application development methodologies, infrastructure, and network architecture.
9. Ability to work with both in-house and outsourced development teams.
