Job Duties:

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging English lessons to students
• Evaluate and provide feedback on students' progress
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Develop and implement curriculum-aligned lesson plans
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning experience

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in English or related field
• Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS or equivalent) - consideration for those with extensive experience teaching Secondary English but no QTS
• Strong knowledge of English language and literature
• Experience working with students of varying abilities

Education:

Bachelor's degree in English or related field

Experience:

Previous experience as an English teacher

Knowledge and Skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Motivational and engaging teaching style
• Strong organisational and time management abilities
• Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational trends

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Education or related field
• Experience teaching English as a second language

Working Conditions:

The English Teacher role is based in Stockton-on-Tees.

This is a long-term position with full-time hours.

The teacher will primarily work within an educational setting, interacting with students and colleagues on a daily basis.
