Project Administrator

Location: South Leicester LE18 1AD
Salary: £28k-£30k per annum
Type: Permanent
Office Based Role
Working Hours: Monday - Thursday: 8am-5pm, Friday: 8am-1pm

About the Company

Our client is a well-established engineering manufacturing business seeking a Project Administrator to join their team.

Role & Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with internal departments (Project Managers, Design Engineers, Electrical Engineers, R&D, and Production Manager).
  2. Coordinate installation and wiring/commissioning teams using Microsoft Project.
  3. Arrange and oversee support services (e.g. transportation, hire equipment).
  4. Monitor the administrative & financial status of projects.
  5. Place purchase orders for transportation, installation teams, and hire equipment.
  6. Process invoices for payments, authorised by Project Managers.
  7. Collect and upload commissioning documentation from installation teams.
  8. Occasionally source parts for projects and visit sites for collections.
  9. Liaising with customers.
  10. Track the financial performance of contracts, providing insights for future projects.
Candidate Requirements
  1. Experience in an engineering or industrial product manufacturing business.
  2. Strong communication skills (interacting with customers and site operatives).
  3. Experience in creating invoices for external customers.
  4. Ability to commute to LE18 daily and hold a UK driving license.
  5. Understanding of technical drawings (CAD, wiring loom drawings, schematics).
  6. Computer literate (Microsoft Office applications).
  7. Well-organised with strong administration skills.
Salary & Benefits
  1. Starting Salary: £28k-£30k (depends on experience).
  2. 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays.
