Job description

Job Description:

Female Only Support Worker in Norfolk, Taverham. This is a permanent, part-time role (18.75 hours per week) offering £13.21 per hour (£25,838 per annum) pro-rata, along with great benefits including a Health Cash Plan.

Join us in this rewarding role as a Support Worker (internally known as Positive Behavioural Support Worker). You will provide person-centred and strengths-based support to our customer, V, who has complex needs including a moderate learning disability. V enjoys outdoor activities, trips to National Trust homes and gardens, and loves singing and dancing.

Typical Responsibilities:
  • Helping V overcome barriers to lead a fulfilling life, respecting her pace and aspirations.
  • Supporting V using the Positive Behavioural Support model to promote independence and social inclusion.
  • Monitoring mental and physical health, identifying signs of deterioration, and managing risks positively.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Experience in a Complex Care setting, with a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Health & Social Care or willingness to work towards it.
  • Previous experience supporting individuals with complex needs or distress behaviors.
  • Patience, calmness, and adaptability to meet V's needs and circumstances.
  • Experience in positive risk management.
  • Full manual driving license is essential.
Additional Information:

This role involves working primarily in V's home, supporting her with independent living. You will work on a rota basis, including occasional sleep-ins with pay enhancements. Use of technology for support planning and communication is required. An enhanced DBS check will be conducted, and sponsorship is not available for this role due to current limitations.
