Investment Communications & Portfolio Analytics Trainee (Full Time 18 month contract)

Location: London
Role Overview:

We are seeking a graduate in finance, economics, mathematics, or computer science for an 18-month traineeship at Neuberger Berman.

The trainee will collaborate with the Investment Communications Team (ICT) and Client Reporting Team (CRT), gaining exposure to data, marketing materials, and various asset classes. Responsibilities include producing marketing materials, automating portfolio analytics, and supporting administrative projects.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the monthly factsheet production cycle and ensure timely delivery.
  • Update marketing materials and assist with commentaries and presentations.
  • Enhance data processes for quality and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Compliance on marketing material approval.
  • Automate reporting templates and improve client reporting efficiency.
  • Maintain tracking mechanisms for reports and requests.
  • Automate data aggregation and update analytics on SharePoint.
  • Assist with vendor and IT projects.
  • Respond to RFP data and ad-hoc requests.
Qualifications & Personal Attributes:
  • Degree with 2:1 or above in finance, economics, mathematics, or computer science.
  • High accuracy, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, collaborate, and solve problems proactively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Interest in AI, automation, and developing skills in Excel, VBA, and Python.
  • Basic understanding of financial markets; experience in marketing or client reporting is a plus.
