Job Description

University College Birmingham (UCB) is seeking experienced research project supervisors to support undergraduate and postgraduate students within its Business School. Supervisors will provide guidance and mentorship through regular meetings, including at least one in-person session on campus, with additional meetings conducted online as per module requirements.

We are looking to appoint supervisors for a wide range of Business topics including Enterprise, Marketing, Finance & Accounting, and Management. Applications from those able to support qualitative and/or quantitative projects are encouraged.

Candidate Requirements
  • Hold at least a master's degree in a relevant subject, with a preference for candidates pursuing or holding a doctoral qualification.
  • Experience supervising UG and/or PG students within the past five years with successful outcomes.
  • Experience working with a diverse student body.
  • Availability to attend on-campus meetings (at least the first meeting) and participate in department training days and meetings.
Role Details

This part-time role involves 15 hours per week, for a fixed term of 2 years. As a supervisory pool member, applications are considered on a rolling basis, and recruitment may close early.
