The Job

Interpreting involves listening, understanding, and memorizing content in the source language, then reproducing it into the target language with 100% accuracy.

You will:

• Interpret for legal, health, and local government services
• Check the understanding of non-English speakers after each sentence
• Conduct conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting
• Handle highly confidential information
• Liaise between the service user and provider

Requirements

• Fluent in English and another language
• Legal right to work in the UK
• Age 21 or over
• Qualifications such as:
• Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI)
• Community Interpreting
• NRPSI, CIOL, ITI registration (advantageous)
• Degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages
• Other interpreting-related qualifications
