We are proud to partner with our client to find a Qualification Content Lead (Management Accounting and Performance Management) for an 18-month fixed-term contract, due to increased project demands.

The role

The ‘Qualification Content Lead’ (QCL) oversees the development of syllabuses and assessments, ensuring the external examining team delivers innovative, relevant, and rigorous qualifications for future and current members worldwide.

The QCL works alongside technical specialists in areas such as tax, audit & assurance, financial reporting, etc.

As the QCL for Management Accounting and Performance Management, your expertise will help shape the future of professional qualifications, ensuring the development of future-ready finance professionals.

In this role, you will influence professional education and qualifications, working within a diverse, innovative team embracing new learning methods and technologies.

Key facts:

  • Full-time, fixed-term contract – 18 months
  • Starting salary up to £70,000 (outside London) and £75,000 (London)
  • The role supports a 'digital first' approach, primarily home-based with occasional travel to London or Glasgow offices. London or Glasgow residents may work from the office if preferred.
  • Benefits include up to 9% employer pension contribution, private healthcare, flexitime, and leave.
  • Note: Applications from candidates with up to 3 months' notice are welcome, despite the 18-month contract.

Key responsibilities:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert in Management Accounting and Performance Management, developing innovative syllabus content and learning outcomes.
  • Lead assessment development, ensuring high-quality exams aligned with learning objectives and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee the creation of interactive learning modules and resources for learners and providers.
  • Keep syllabus content current with industry trends, legislative changes, and technological advancements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders including examiners and education providers to maintain qualification standards.
  • Ensure all materials and assessments are accurate, high-quality, and delivered on schedule.
  • Lead marking standardisation meetings, providing guidance on exam content and evaluation criteria.
  • Represent the organization at external meetings, conferences, and examiner standardisation events.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Expertise in Management Accounting and Performance Management
  • Experience in syllabus setting and assessment development
  • Experience in developing learning content and technical materials
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Word and Excel
