We have a rare and exciting vacancy for a Locality Manager at our TouchBase service based in Bishopbriggs. This role is on a fixed term basis for 12 Months to cover maternity leave. Offering 30 hours per week over 5 days to meet the needs of the service.

About the service

The Locality Manager role ensures a management presence in our services, taking responsibility for the day-to-day operations. This includes overseeing safe rota development and cover in line with risk assessments and assessed needs, delivering commissioned hours, recruiting and skill-matching staff, and providing comprehensive inductions, training, support, supervision, and formal performance management when necessary.
You will work alongside Supervisors and be directly line-managed and supported by the Registered Manager, deputising in their absence. You will also collaborate with colleagues across different areas, shaping practice and enabling team members to lead initiatives with your oversight.

A key focus of your role will be maintaining contact and consultation with the people we support on relevant topics, promoting the quality of their lives, and ensuring they receive the necessary services.

About you

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • An SVQ level 3 in Social Care and be in a position to gain qualifications as determined by the SSSC for registration, such as a relevant professional qualification and/or an SVQ 4 in Social Care.
  • A supervisory or management qualification suitable for a supervisor of a care service, with a minimum of 15 credits at SCQF level 7 or above.
  • The ability to gain registration with the SSSC within the required timescale.
