Head of eCommerce

Location – Ashford, Kent (hybrid 1-2 days p/week)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of eCommerce to join our Marketing and Digital Leadership Team. Reporting to the Marketing and Digital Director, you will manage the eCommerce team and key partners, and be responsible for sales performance, customer experience, and the development and optimisation of the eCommerce platform.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Enhance the customer experience by creating an intuitive and frictionless sales process that drives business growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Digital, Merchandising, Commercial, Design, and external development, technology, and testing partners to improve the platform's features and functionalities.
  • Focus on key targets such as ease of ordering, customer retention, basket size growth, differentiation from competitors, transformation based on customer order trends, and ongoing digitisation of sales.

What we are looking for:

  • Deep understanding of eCommerce best practices, sales funnels, and online customer behaviors.
  • Proven experience in a similar role with strong analytical skills to leverage data and customer insights for design and performance optimization.
  • Experience working with designers and developers to create user-friendly, intuitive interfaces.
  • Leadership experience, including guiding, training, and motivating a team to achieve eCommerce objectives.
  • Ability to manage the full product lifecycle from ideation to execution.
