North Lanarkshire Council is seeking a Technical Developer to join their Technology Development team. This role involves developing and supporting technology applications and business solutions, requiring experience with scripting languages and a strong ICT background. We seek a dynamic, confident, and highly motivated individual to join our DevOps team within the Technology Development division to develop and support new technology applications and business solutions driven by the Council’s DigitalNL and SmartNL programmes.
You should have practical experience with core council product set development, broad ICT knowledge, and a willingness to learn about operating in a DevOps culture, including requirements analysis, development, testing, release management, and change management.
Desirable skills include knowledge of scripting languages, MS Power Platform, CI/CD processes, enterprise application customization and integration, Microsoft Windows OS, cloud solutions, and a willingness to learn Robotic Process Automation.
Ideal candidates will have an open, enquiring mind, adaptability to change, confidence, self-motivation, and the ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to challenges.
This role will operate on a hybrid model of home-based and office-based work within the Civic Centre, Motherwell.
