Electrical Design Engineer - Automation / Pharmaceutical Sector

Our client, a leading provider in the pharmaceutical and automation sectors, is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join their team. This permanent role offers opportunities to work on projects at various stages, from design to implementation, ensuring safety and professionalism.

Salary: £45,000 to £50,000

Location: UK (full right to work required; visa sponsorship not available)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Travel to client sites for surveys, installations, and commissioning in the UK and abroad
2. Gather information to produce design solutions
3. Engage with clients through meetings and site visits, providing engineering expertise
4. Create and update electrical schematics using AutoCAD, maintaining revision control
5. Specify and prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) for procurement
6. Develop PLC and HMI control software
7. Participate in control panel testing and troubleshooting
8. Involvement in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
9. Assist in producing installation documentation
10. Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and installation engineers
11. Supervise site activities and act as the main contact on site
12. Follow health, safety, and quality policies and procedures
13. Develop personal skills and knowledge relevant to the role
