Job Title: Front of House (FOH) Manager – Wedding Event
Location: Batcombe, Shepton Mallet
Salary: £18.00 per hour
Working Hours: 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Duration: One-day Event
Start Date: Friday 1st August 2025

We’re looking for a confident and experienced Front of House Manager to lead a team at a professional outdoor wedding event in Shepton Mallet on 1st August 2025, catering for 180 guests. This role requires a calm, organised leader who can oversee all aspects of FOH service while keeping energy high and service smooth.

The Job:
• Overseeing the delivery of canapé and drinks service on guest arrival
• Coordinating waiting staff during mains (sharing style) and dessert service
• Managing timings and flow of FOH operations in coordination with kitchen leads
• Ensuring all staff are briefed, dressed appropriately, and positioned effectively
• Supporting clearing and final checks of serveware post-service
• Liaising with the event hosts and adapting to on-the-day needs professionally

The Requirements:
• Proven experience managing FOH teams at weddings or high-end events
• A composed, professional presence with great communication and people skills
• Confidence leading a team while remaining hands-on as needed
• A proactive mindset – able to make quick, thoughtful decisions on the day

Dress Code:
• Black trousers
• White, ironed shirt
• Black, polished shoes — trainers are not permitted
• Personal presentation must be sharp: neat hair, minimal or neat nail varnish
• Please arrive in a black t-shirt if an apron or lifting task may require a quick change
