A leading community healthcare provider is seeking enthusiastic nurses to care for children and young people with complex health needs. This unique role offers opportunities to develop skills in a supportive environment, encouraging participation in various activities. Experience is not required; enthusiasm and empathy are valued.
We are looking for enthusiastic nurses interested in developing new skills in caring for children and young people with complex health needs, including epilepsy, cerebral palsy, or physical disabilities.
We provide specialist 24/7 nursing care to children and young people aged 3 to 25 years at Chailey Heritage Foundation, including our school, residential services, and Short Breaks Service. This unique role requires a nurse eager to work in a partnership within a very special environment, encouraging children and young people to express their preferences and participate in activities such as crafting, horse riding, swimming, day trips, and holidays.
Experience is not necessary; we value enthusiasm, empathy, and a willingness to learn. Support will be provided to develop skills in catheterisation, tracheostomies, ventilation, and emergency seizure management.
You will gain valuable experience caring for children with complex neurological conditions, supporting your career development through numerous opportunities.
Since the location is rural, access to a car or other transport is essential. Free on-site parking, including an electric vehicle charging point, is available.
If you are passionate about supporting children and young people to lead safe, happy, and fulfilling lives, we would love to hear from you.
