Job Description

We are looking for a brand new ServiceNow Developer to join the team here at Sage. You will have the opportunity to build and deliver high quality applications and/or systems and services within our architecture whilst growing your knowledge of our product suite and core business units.

If you feel you are a subject matter expert for technical solutions and business processes around ServiceNow – this could be the role for you. You will also be involved in leading selected projects or activities, as required, as well as collaborating with other disciplines and teams within and outside of IT to ensure consistency, quality and successful delivery.

This is a hybrid role – you will be based 3 days a week from our Newcastle office.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Developing, delivering, maintaining and implementing high quality technical solutions which may require configuration and/or maintenance of third-party applications and/or the timely provision of accurate data and/or reports.
  2. Ensuring successful delivery through proactive quality review and stakeholder engagement to derive tangible action where required.
  3. Participate fully in all phases of the project lifecycle including technical analysis, detailed design, coding/configuration and delivery, as relevant.
  4. Analyse, define, document and/or review technical requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems and/or services, internal and external checks and controls, and outputs.
  5. Analysing business processes and identifying opportunities to improve and align with strategic direction.
  6. Producing relevant documentation to describe logic, coding/configuration, testing and changes where applicable.
  7. Seeking out and acting upon feedback received and provide quality feedback to other team members to aid their personal development.
  8. Where required, assist in educating others (within and outside of IT) regarding the impacts of planned deliveries and/or in the use of relevant tools.
  9. Ensure all development is completed to the required quality standards, identify opportunities for continuous improvement of development processes and pro-actively transfer knowledge amongst team members.

Requirements:

  1. Possess a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of software development to the completion of difficult assignments.
  2. Familiarity with Xanadu would be advantageous for this position.
  3. Experience with the SNOW HRSD module is preferred.
  4. Experience handling workflow design, API management and scripting in previous positions.
  5. Strong stakeholder management experience from engaging with customers directly.
  6. Development / Administration Certifications would be nice-to-have.
