Leonardo UK has experienced significant growth over the past three years and plans for further expansion. We are seeking a leader for our UK Talent Attraction function. In this role, you will oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, develop scalable hiring strategies, enhance our employer brand, and ensure we attract, engage, and retain top talent. You will collaborate closely with senior leaders and the wider People team, manage a team of recruitment professionals, and contribute to shaping our workforce's future. This position can be based anywhere in the UK, with a mix of home working and regular travel to various UK locations.

What you’ll do as VP Talent Attraction

This role holds overall accountability for the Talent Attraction strategy and execution across external professional recruitment, internal hiring, early careers, and contingent workforce management via MSP. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment strategy aligned with business objectives.
  2. Lead, mentor, and support the recruitment team to meet hiring targets and KPIs.
  3. Create innovative sourcing strategies to build strong talent pipelines.
  4. Oversee employer branding initiatives to position Leonardo as an employer of choice.
  5. Optimize recruitment technology and processes for scalability and efficiency.
  6. Manage recruitment budgets and key supplier relationships.
  7. Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in hiring practices.
  8. Analyze and report on hiring metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
What we need from you

Applicants should have proven experience leading Talent Attraction or Recruitment teams within a technical or engineering organization, preferably in Aerospace & Defence. Essential skills include leadership, stakeholder management, expertise in talent attraction strategies across the recruitment lifecycle, familiarity with current recruitment technologies including AI, a data-driven mindset, and a commitment to diversity and inclusive hiring. Experience managing an MSP arrangement is advantageous.
