We are a dynamic, expanding company with opportunities in culture, training/education/instruction, IT, cyber security, and intelligence (analysts, CI, HUMINT, SIGINT, etc.). Positions are available both in CONUS and OCONUS, for short and long-term durations.

Global Dimensions is currently seeking a Field Service Tech III for positions in Aberdeen, MD.

The mechanic services, inspects, maintains, and repairs Amphibious Combat Vehicle equipment, ensuring minimal interruption to testing and operations. The mechanic provides technical assistance during testing, troubleshooting, repairs—including battle damage repairs—and manages de-processing and storing vehicles.

Requirements

  • Secret Clearance; Interim Secret to start.
  • Must pass drug screen and background check.
  • Communication skills: Effectively communicate with FSR regarding vehicle diagnosis, repair time, parts required, and other technical observations. Demonstrate teamwork, work under pressure, and present a positive image of self and company’s products and services. Ability to work effectively with diverse customers and cultures. Courtesy and tact are essential.
  • Experience: At least 2 years in Amphibious Combat Vehicle maintenance and operations, including land & swim. At least 2 years of Cursor 16 Engine experience and training. At least 2 years of Allison 4800 series experience and knowledge. Familiarity with military maintenance systems and technical manuals. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics. Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficient in using hand tools, shop tools, micrometers, depth gauges, finish gauges, power tools, lifting devices, and support equipment safely.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, relevant Associate’s degree, or military training; plus 4 years of work experience in mechanical, electrical, or electronic fields related to military products.
  • Military Occupational Specialty: 2141- AAV Repairer, 2147- LAV Repairer, or 3521- Automotive Maintenance. Knowledgeable in operations and maintenance of AAV7A1/LAV or similar combat vehicles.

Travel required: 95%.
